the Febalous festival in the Philippines

these are some of the list of festivals for the month of February:

Tinagba Festival (Feb 11)

it is a harvest offering celebration occurred every Feb 11, where the farmers tend to parade his best local produce on his carabao-drawn carts. these are blessed at mass and are distributed to the needy. the feast was originated from the early rituals of ancient Bicolanos that offered their harvest to their Gods as a way of thanksgiving and to ask more bountiful harvest.

Suman Festival ( Feb 13)

it was the biggest and grandest of all feast in Aurora, every February 13, the parade of uniquely designed floats.
Main streets and home are decked with suman, a native pinoy delicacy.
the festival aims to decimate Aurora's supply of Coconut product and malagkit.

Babaylan Festival (Feb 19)


it was a festival that newly conceptualized by the city of Bago, Negros Occidental. Celebrated during the charter anniversary every 19Th of Feb, it was based on the rituals performed by babaylans, like ritual marriage, healing, baptism, harvest and others. The babaylan are known to get their power from the unseen being.

Itik-Itik Festival (Feb 27)

The Itik-Itik or native duck, it was held every last week of February in Brgy. Kalawaan. Everybody has take part of the activities and merrymaking. the celebration includes street dancing, duck cooking, contest, out trigger boat race and fluvial procession. the festival also draws people near to God and to one another.

balsahan Festival (Feb 20)

it was a Sibunag way of immortalizing the mystical Sibunag river which snakes its way through of the towns and barangays. The river was thought to have so many interesting myths and legends that are surely tickle your imagination, and whet ones appetite to unravel its secrets. use balsa in your trek for some satisfying discoveries you will be pleasantly rewarded.

Panagbenga- Baguio Festival (Feb)


The Baguio-flower festival is an annual celebration during the month of February, it showcases a floral floats and native dances. the City of Pines is quite surely in flower furry over panagbenga festival the City's biggest festival.

Kalilangan Festival (Feb 21-27)

Celebrates the "friendly co-existence with all the people of General Santos City" activities include the Agro-industrial trade fair, a cultural presentation, culinary art contest, Pagana, Kulintangan, ethnic musical instrument competition and Kidig-kidig sa dauan.
- it was derived from the root word "Kalilang" typically means celebration or commemoration in the maguindanaon dialect.
-kalilang projects a positive and dynamic meaning for it to engulfs the artistic.
- it is also a pageantry of unique and colorful ethnic rites, rituals and traditions.
