-About 2million devotees were said to attend a tradition believed to be miraculous.
A lot of people who titled themselves devotees endured the weather and crowd to follow their yearly devotion; to hold and to at least glance their patron, the Black Nazarene.
Ignoring the exhaustion, and the hostile crowd, this event means life for them, Catholic community who believes that the Black Nazarene is doing miraculous things that keeps their faith.
Though the scenes every year seemed fatal, these devotees kept their devotion, walking barefooted, and imitating Christ as a gesture of keeping their lives on path.
Though some weren't able to survive crowd (as shown in the right picture) ended up battling for life and even ended up dead, but for the "pure-blooded" devotees, it's better to die in action than dying useless.
Rain or shine, the show must go on.
